Only Six Weeks ‘Til Spring

A spring storm in 2020. This year should more more of the same.

I must say, whilst enjoying all New England’s seasons for what they are, winter is probably my least favourite. Sometimes, in the depths of winter, it is tempting to cosy up to the fire and not think too far ahead. But being a “glass half full” kind of bloke, let me remind you, Spring is only six weeks away.

And considering the damp winter we’ve been having this year, Spring 2021 is bound to be a beauty.

Whether you are looking to expand your holdings or looking to exit, now is the time to prepare. Spring is traditionally an optimal time to present a rural property to the market.

This year will be no different.

In addition to full dams and flowing creeks, the grass will be green, birds will be chirping and the optimism that is currently in agriculture will maintain the healthy demand for rural property in our region and across the country.

Lifestyle properties are in high demand, as are commercial-sized holdings.

Buyers these days are coming from “everywhere”. I am currently fielding inquiries from western Victoria to North Queensland, and all stops in between. And these people are putting boots on the ground, too. While lifestylers shift from the urban sprawl, agribusiness has cemented its position as a solid and secure investment in times when some other sectors have struggled to do so.

Now is the time to prepare for a spring sale campaign, or to get ready for your search. To discuss how MacDougall Rural Property can help you buy or sell rural property in New England and beyond, please give me a call. It would be a privilege to give you a hand in achieving your goals.

Best regards,

Graham MacDougall
